The Asean Bazaar today was a successful one. For the past few days, my wife and I were wondering on what to sell during the bazaar. We ended up selling rojak buah and keropok ikan and kuih bangkit. Majority of the Mexicans could not accept rojak buah as it is new to them. Our keropok ikan - sold out. And kuih bangkit too although it took time to sell just 10 bungkus.

As for handycrafts, we sold a number of batik handkerchief, purse made from songket and also pillows. The sales was good but people said that it was not as good as last year.

The ASEAN Embassies in Mexico will be organizing ASEAN Bazaar on this 24 November 2007. My wife and I will be / might / tought of (pilih yang mana berkenan) selling some of the handycrafts which we bought from Malaysia. Not many, but better than none. As for food, I tought of selling keropok ikan. From my experience (during mexican ppl visits to our house), they love keropok ikan very much. Not available in Mexico, so, i guess boleh ler dapat untung sikit.

To promote the bazaar, a press conference was held yesterday. It was my first press conference. Facing the reporters and answering questions. Well, not all questions. Each embassy took turn to promote the products that they will be selling during the bazaar. Do'h, I dont even have time to plan what I wanted to say. Tau tau ajer microphone dah ada depan mata... time for me to speak.

The Auditor-Genaral of Malaysia, Y.Bhg Tan Sri Dato' Setia Ambrin bin Buang visited Mexico from 3 - 10 November 2007. He was accompanied by his wife, Puan Seri Datin Setia Hindon binti Yusoff and four other accompanying officers. The purpose of the visit was to attend the XIX International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions Meeting.... AND... at the same time two of the accompanying officer were tasked to audit our Embassy. The auditing took two days from 5 - 6 November. Outcome was what I can say impressive, thanks to the early preparations by the Embassy. Depa nak datang baru kelam kabut .

Despite the meeting and auditing our Embassy, The Audit General office also signed a MoU with Republic of Indonesia. The ceremony took place on the 4th November at a Restaurant called La Hacienda de Los Morales (I do not know the meaning, but the food was great).

HALLOWEEN NIGHT......

TRICKS OR TREATS!!!!!! (or the other way round).

Our first time receiving guests in Mexico wearing various costumes. Some are good (i.e. Princess, animals and police costumes) and some are scary (i.e. Dracula, Frankestien, Ghosts costumes). But they were fun. We bought three boxes of mini snickers (chocolates) and some other sweets. At the end of the day, we were left with only few. Good thing that the goodies are enough for the guests.

la.. betui ka hangpa kasi snikers??? apsal yang nampak kat pintu tu sup tulang punya perencah (bunjut)... Integrasi internasional kaaa...

The Embassy organized a Family Day today. All officers and staffs were invited. We do also invite people from the Malaysia Technical Corporation Program (MTCP) but due to their busy schedule, nobody turned up.

My wife and I organized an open house for Home Based Staff and ASEAN Community today. It was our first hari raya open house abroad. Thanks to my wife tireless effort in making this event a successful one. My sincere thank also goes to my colleagues and Perwakilan for their endless support.

Juadah :
1. Laksa Johor (with all its ingredient... errr.. almost all. We accidently forgot about sambal belacan),
2. Perut masak kuah lemak (to eat with nasi impit, kuah kacang and daging rendang tok), and
3. Mee Goreng with cili hijau.
4. Cold drinks, Coffee and Tea
5. Kuih Muih and
6. Kuih Raya (some home made and some are from Malaysia, via Peru - thanks to my colleague in Peru)

Selamat hari Raya dari kami di Copenhagen
